I really enjoyed my stay here, especially being just a few steps away from Thurso Library & Gallery and a short walk to the fascinating Caithness Horizons Museum and Art Gallery, which made my exploring very convenient. plus, the staff were lovely and really made me feel at home during my stay.

The spacious three-bed room was a huge plus, and I really appreciated the cozy dining area for dinner.

The bathroom could definitely use some improvement.

I felt right at home here. they squeezed me into dinner during a rush, and the single bed was super comfy and spacious. There’s a cozy lounge to unwind in. A great spot outside to enjoy the fresh air. The shower door handle was a tad tricky, but it didn't ruin my stay at all. 😊

I had a wonderful stay at St Clair! James was incredibly helpful with the heating issue and suggested some great local trips. Tim behind the bar was friendly and informative too. The hotel's location is perfect, being close to the Orkney ferry, which was super convenient!

the breakfast on Wednesday was disappointing.

A spacious single room with a comfortable bed made for a restful night. Check-in was quick, and the welcoming atmosphere extended to the staff, who were attentive and helpful. The location was ideal for exploring local attractions, and the ability to park my bike right outside was a definite plus. the manager displayed unkind behavior towards staff, which detracted somewhat from the experience.

Had a lovely time! The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home. My room was spacious and the bed comfy. Plus, the food was a real highlight, best meal I had in Scotland! Only wish the design was a bit more modern. a solid place to stay!

The bed in my single room could definitely use an upgrade for better comfort. While dinner was enjoyable, it lacked any fresh sides. Breakfast was disappointing with undercooked sausages and rubbery scrambled eggs. I hope they improve those aspects. Consider dining out for breakfast.

This place suits me perfectly, providing free Wi-Fi, a bar/lounge, and a comfortable restaurant. I remember how staff helped me find my lost earring during my first visit. I’ll definitely return for my next holiday!

I had a delightful stay! The spacious single room was so comfortable, and I enjoyed peaceful nights with no noise disruption. The breakfast was a tasty traditional Scottish treat, with perfectly cooked bacon and eggs to start my day. Plus, the warmth from the couple who runs the place made me feel incredibly welcome!

Friendly vibes and comfy beds

Had a decent stay here! The owners are super friendly and even gave me a lift when I missed my bus. My single room was spacious and the bed was awesome. The only bummer was the really tiny sink in the bathroom. The restaurant looks nice, but service was kinda slow and food was just okay. not bad at all.
